Here are three reasons why Tommaso Ciampa should be deposed Mark Briscoe Regarding the TNT title of Collision.
#3. Ciampa win would be good for ratings
AEW Collision’s ratings have long suffered. It currently has 200,000 to 280,000 viewers per episode. That’s down significantly from the first episode’s average of 816,000 viewers. The Jacksonville-based company has been through a rough few years, but is now back on track.
2025 for Tony Khanand he seems to want to continue this momentum. The dynamite is on fire and it’s time to take the collision to its level. Tommaso Ciampa performed well in his debut and received massive support from around the world. Making him the new TNT Champion on Saturday would be a good idea.
A win for “Psycho” might even boost ratings. Hopefully Tony Khan can strike while the iron is hot.
#2. Will instantly make Ciampa a top star
Tommaso Ciampa has the air of a superstar about him. His storyline with Johnny Gargano in NXT was legendary and he was a solid in-ring worker. Even though Triple H struggled on the main roster, he continued to have great matches. AEW could be where he takes his career to the next level.
If the Psycho Killer deposed Mark Briscoe in a collision, he would immediately send notice to the locker room. He will likely dominate for a long time, where he will compete against many talented players on the roster. The former WWE star could eventually become a big enough star to challenge for the world title on pay-per-view.
#1. Will encourage more WWE stars to join AEW
AEW has been signing former WWE stars since its inception. Names like Jon Moxley, Samoa Joe. Swerve Strickland, Toni Storm, Mercedes Mone and more have found great success with the Jacksonville-based company. Tony Khan made a masterstroke by signing Ciampa, who has a high ceiling in the company.
If Ciampa wins the TNT Championship, he will be the talk of the town. WWE wrestlers will learn this and they may consider working for Tony Khan in the future. World Wrestling Entertainment has a talented roster, many of whom would be a perfect fit for the Jacksonville promotion. Names like Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn and more will thrive in AEW. However, the future is hard to see.
