Many fans across the internet are unhappy with a former AEW star’s current booking in WWE. The star left Elite Wrestling almost a year ago.
Fans are not happy with the former AEW star’s seemingly poor booking; Rusev (formerly Miro), WWE. The 40-year-old star was involved with Tony Khan’s promotion from 2020 until his departure in early 2025. He returned to the Stamford promotion in April 2025 and fans were excited to see him back.
However, between him and Sheamus On RAW, Rusev has yet to appear on a main show on television. He was also recently demoted to the YouTube show “Main Event” for a few matches. Meanwhile, the former Miro was once again announced for the “main event” match, where he will face Jaqen Wilde.
When fans on X’s social media platform noticed the news, they expressed their disappointment. Many fans claimed that Rusev was underutilized, with one fan saying that he left AEW only to appear on “Main Event” shows:

WWE Superstar Rusev seemed to express dissatisfaction with his time in AEW in an interview a few months ago. talk with CBS Sports, Former Miro takes a shot at his yellow card at All Elite Wrestling and says how he Only 20 to 30 games During his nearly 5 years with the company:
“I’ve played 20, 30 games in the last five years. Before, I played 30 games in 30 days… The thing that stands out is the time of death. We only have bodies and ages for so long. We can’t do this job forever, so we have to take advantage of it while we’re young. I sat on the sidelines for so long, not being able to do what I love.”
Only time will tell what happens next with Rusev.
