
Daniel DuBois Revealed the real reason for his return to trainer Don Charles.
DuBois and Charles get back together months after split Lost to Alexander Usyk at Wembley Stadium in July 2024.
“DDD” was linked to trainer Tony Sims late last year, but they parted ways without a fight together, and the former IBF heavyweight champion has Explain to Talksport Why he decided to work with Charles again.
“I had a family meeting and just thought, since we had the most success with Don, we decided to turn around.
“I feel like he knows me. He knows me as a fighter and as a person. So it makes sense to go back. We’ve had a little bit of a break. Now I’m ready to go back.”
Du Bois was then asked why he chose to break up with Charles in the first place.
“Everyone needs to step away and really think about something. It’s not even a deep thought. I think we just made a snap decision.
“Don is going to be the right fit for me as a person and my personality. He’s the right guy and I’m glad we’ve made this decision now. It’s time to move on. He’s going to help me and I’m going to help myself and get back to the glory days. That’s what I really want to do.”
