The gang-ravaged capital of Haiti is ‘systematically’ terrorized by sexual violence, warns MSF

Sexual and gender-based violence is “systematically used to terrorize the population” in Haiti’s stricken capital Port-au-Prince, Doctors Without Borders said Thursday in a report based on 10 years of data from its clinic there. The medical charity, which goes by the French acronym MSF, said the number of victims it treated had almost tripled since 2021, warning of a “shocking increase in the brutality of the violence”.
