Disney and Universal water parks close amid frigid Florida temperatures

Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, located in Lake Buena Vistait is closed on wednesday and thursday.

The the park is is scheduled to reopen Friday before closing again Saturday and Sunday, according to Walt Disney World’s website.

Universal’s Volcano Bay, located at Universal Orlando Resort in Orlando, is also closed Wednesday and Thursday due to weather conditionsaccording to a park announcement.

“Universal Volcano Bay will be closed on Wednesday, January 28th and Thursday, January 29th due to inclement weather,” the official account of Universal Orlando Resort published in X.

Despite the closures, major Disney parks in Florida, including Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom, appear to be operating as usual.
