It’s been two days, and we’re still laughing about the opening scene of “Hard Salt Beef,” the second episode of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. Sure, the projectile poop in the season premiere will live in infamy, but the sight of Ser Arlan in Pennytree casually unleashing his massive manhood will live forever in the memory of series protagonist Dunk—and now equally ingrained in every viewer’s mind, too.

Showrunner Ira Parker has rated it Currently, it is explained that Ser Arlan, portrayed by Danny Webb, has a rough life as a hedge knight who wants to give people “his something special.” (Added by Parker a Boogie Nights reference to the very small chance that readers didn’t get what he meant.)

Speaking of Dirk Diggler, that famously bulky character probably comes to mind when you see this Instagram post from Waldo Mason, the show’s prosthetic designer.

“So proud to make Ser Arlan (in) Pennytree’s awesome weapon for the opening moments of this episode!” Mason wrote, paying tribute to the entire team that helped create the 10-inch prosthetic penis. He also shouts out Webb for his dedication to making the illusion look as realistic as possible despite the “intimate application process”; the end result, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms the audience might agree, a huge success.

Also props for the clever “pee tubing,” which makes the whole thing more believable.
