
Two Chelsea supporters were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries in Naples on Tuesday night.
Italian police told sky sports news One of the injured was treated at the Vecchio Pellegrini hospital after the incident near the Santa Maria La Nova area of Naples. The supporter has now been released.
Police added that the supporter was with a group of Chelsea fans and was later met by another group.
The Blues are in the Italian city preparing for Wednesday night’s Champions League clash with Napoli.
Chelsea have urged all visiting fans to use “extreme caution” ahead of the game and follow the club’s guidance.
The Blues have been allocated 2,500 Champions League away tickets.
In a statement released on Tuesday night, Chelsea wrote: “The club is aware of the events that took place in Napoli on Tuesday night.
“Both fans are receiving treatment in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
“The club would like to remind all fans to take extra care when in the city and to heed the advice shared ahead of this game.”
