‘Nobody spared’: Damascus suburbs still haunted by Assad regime chemical attacks




The Ghouta area east of Damascus has witnessed some of the most brutal and sustained fighting in the Syrian civil war, including deadly chemical weapons attacks launched by the regime of ousted strongman Bashar al-Assad. FRANCE 24 journalists visited the bombed ruins of Ghouta and spoke to residents haunted by the horror who lived through it.
