Pakistan is set to have a very busy year in 2026, which includes the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, the 2025-27 ICC World Test Championship, and the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Pakistan to start 2026 season with T20I tour of Sri Lanka
The Pakistan team will start the 2026 season with an overseas assignment. The men in green will play a three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka in early January. All three matches will be played at the Dambulla International Stadium in Rangiri, giving Pakistan a chance to adapt to the new season at the earliest.

After Sri Lanka series ends, Pakistan will host Australia A three-match T20I series. The tour will take place from January 30 to February 5 and will also be their last match before the 2026 T20 World Cup. Playing in sub-continental conditions will help the team test their combinations under pressure.
They will then turn their attention to the T20 World Cup, which will be hosted by India Play against Sri Lanka from February 7th to March 8th. Back-to-back T20I series against Sri Lanka and Australia are expected to play an important role in helping Pakistan build rhythm and confidence ahead of the World Cup.
PSL 11 is scheduled to be held in April-May 2026 and will clash with IPL 2026
After the World Cup, Pakistan will play a three-match ODI series against Australia. The tour is expected to include three events and could take place in mid-March 2026, but a final date has not yet been determined.
The schedule will be locked once Cricket Australia finalizes its travel plans and the Pakistan Cricket Board gives formal approval. If confirmed, the series will be added to Pakistan’s busy international schedule after the World Cup.
After the international matches, the focus will turn to the domestic cricket competition, the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League. PSL 11 is scheduled to be held between April and May 2026.
The event is expected to feature top Pakistani players and several overseas stars, making it one of the major highlights of the 2026 Pakistan cricket season.
Pakistan to play tough Test tour of England in 2026 as part of WTO Tour
Pakistan will face a tough Test task in 2026 when they travel to England for a three-match Test series. The series will be held in August and September as part of the 2025-27 ICC World Test Championship.
The trip will be one of Pakistan’s biggest challenges of the year. All three Tests will be played at historic venues – Headingley, Lord’s and Edgbaston. Conditions in England are known to favor fast bowling and this will test Pakistan’s batsmen and their ability to adapt to the away side.
This tour of England is also important for Pakistan’s position in the World Test Championship table. Apart from the England series, Pakistan has other Test series in the same WTC cycle. They are scheduled to play two home Tests against Sri Lanka and two away Tests against the West Indies.
