Ajmal first names Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadejahighlighting his immense value across formats. Jadeja’s bowling economy, ability to apply pressure and take crucial wickets has made him one of the most reliable spinners in world cricket. His sharp left-arm spin, coupled with excellent fielding and batting depth, make him one of the most all-round cricketers of the modern era.

Second place, Ajmal’s choice Kuldeep Yadavhad special praise for the Indian wrist-spinner’s white-ball prowess. Ajmal was unequivocal in his assessment, calling Kuldeep the best white-ball spinner in the game right now. He praised Kuldeep for his sharp turns, ability to keep the ball in the air and his commitment to giving it flight – qualities that Ajmal described as the hallmarks of intelligent bowling.

“The best white-ball spinner right now is Kuldeep Yadav. There is no doubt that I really like Kuldeep. He spins the ball very fast and also makes the ball break in the air. Even though Kuldeep is Indian, I want to see the best and that’s why Kuldeep is at the top. Watch his videos; he puts in a lot of effort to make the ball fly. That’s what you call smart bowling – bowling without hitting the bat is easy and that’s what Kuldeep does,” Ajmal said.

England’s leading leg-spinner Adil Rashid was Ajmal’s next choice. The former Pakistan spinner admired Rashid’s variety and control, especially of his flippers, and pointed out how effectively Rashid used his weight to create deception. Rashid’s consistent performances in ICC tournaments and bilateral series have cemented his reputation as one of the best limited-overs players in the world.

“He’s a good bowler, man, and he bowls really well. His change and flight is amazing. When he bowls with his flippers, you can see how he uses his body weight,” Ajmal added

Ajmal completes his list by naming New Zealand Mitchell Santner and Australian Adam Zampa. He praised Santner for his clever changes of pace and control, qualities that make him particularly effective in pressure situations. Ajmal offered a more cautious assessment of Zampa, acknowledging his efficiency and role in Australia’s white-ball success.

“Santner is good and his change of pace is great. Zampa is also good,” Ajmal further added.
