“Oh my gosh. On live TV, man?” Gillespie asked.
“I don’t care,” Green responded.
phoenix suns Fans can’t believe the NBA would punish Jalen Green for swearing, as if it’s not a normal thing to do, even on live television, especially in this day and age. Some Suns fans even accused former general manager James Jones of being mean to his former team.
Jones worked in the Suns’ front office from 2017 to 2025, leaving in July to serve as NBA executive vice president and director of basketball operations. From 2019 to 2025, he served as the general manager of the Suns.

After a disastrous 2024-25 NBA season for the Phoenix Suns, James Jones has been relieved of his duties as general manager. Jones was named senior advisor, while Brian Gregory was promoted to general manager.
One of Gregory’s first moves was to acquire Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks and draft picks, who became Kaman Maruac, from the Houston Rockets in exchange for Kevin Durant as part of a historic seven-team trade.
Jaylen Green still recovering from hamstring injury

Jaylen Green missed the first eight games of the season with a right hamstring injury sustained during training camp. Green’s injury aggravated again during pre-season training in Macau. He made his first appearance for the Phoenix Suns on November 6 against the Los Angeles Clippers.
Two days later, Green tore the same hamstring again against the same Clippers team. Days before Christmas, the Suns announced they were evaluating the former No. 2 pick and deemed him unfit to return. He will be re-evaluated in two to three weeks.
Green will continue rehabbing a strained right hamstring and would be wise to stop swearing during on-field interviews if he doesn’t want to be fined. Still, he’s making $33.5 million this season, the first year of a three-year, $105 million contract extension.
