aston villa Attacking midfielder Morgan Rogers recently showed the world his incredible ability by scoring twice against Manchester United.
Not only did the England international score two goals in Villa’s 2-1 win over the Red Devils, but the quality of both goals was astounding.
As seen in the video above, Rodgers scored his first goal from distance and then did a similar shot from inside the penalty area for the winning goal.
Why Morgan Rogers is more important than Ollie Watkins
Despite scoring two goals off the bench to seal the win, Ollie Watkins is no longer a regular for Villa as he has been their main threat at the top of the pitch for several seasons.
The England striker hit double figures in goals in each of his first five seasons at Villa, but has scored just five goals in 25 games so far this season, according to Sofascore.
Rodgers, meanwhile, has already scored seven goals from an attacking midfield position after returning with an impressive 14 goals and 13 assists in all competitions for the 2024/25 season.

As you can see in the table above, the former Manchester City youngster has been Villa’s more influential attacking player, leading the team in almost every important offensive metric.
This shows that he is even more important to the team than Watkins, whose goal-scoring ability is waning as Rodgers is now the team’s main figure in goals and assists. Unai Emery.
Despite the England midfielder’s impressive performance against Villa Premier Leagueyet another Villa star is on his way to world class.
Could become a world-class Aston Villa star
Like Rodgers, Boubacar Kamara’s performances in the club’s midfield suggest he is poised to become one of the top players in the division.
Earlier this season, host and podcaster Dan Bardell claimed £150,000 per week “Midfield”can become truly world-class“If he can stay fit, because he is “becoming a top player.”
It’s easy to see why Bader believes Kamara has the potential to become a world-class talent, as the Frenchman possesses all the attributes required to be a complete midfielder.
The 26-year-old star is entering the prime of his career and has made 16 Premier League appearances so far, showing he is staying fit and delivering quality performances in midfield.

As you can see in the table above, Kamara can do a little bit of everything in Villa’s midfield at a high level, ranking highly among his positional peers on a number of key metrics.
Need a midfielder who can create chances? He can do it. Need a midfielder to carry the ball up the pitch? He can do it. Need a midfielder who can hold the ball? He can do it. Need a midfield destroyer to disrupt your opponents? That’s what he is.
Kamara has only scored one goal in the Premier League this season, according to Sofascore, but it was a stunning strike from distance with his left foot that, as seen in the video above, showed the best of his abilities.
If the star midfielder can continue to excel as a creator, dribbler, passer and duelist while adding more goals to his game, he could easily open up a conversation with the likes of Moises Caicedo, Declan Rice and Rodri to become one of the world-class midfielders in the division.
Of course, world-class is a subjective description, but if Kamara continues to excel in nearly every important aspect of a midfielder’s job, he will certainly be considered a world-class operator.
