After three years of waiting, Squid game finally returned. The most popular Netflix series finds Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) returning to the challenge of the games that almost killed him in 2021. The question is, Why? It looks like we will get the complete answer when the new episodes arrive.
In the first season, Gi-hun won the the deadly games and brought home untold riches. However, something tells me things won’t be the same for him in this second season.
Joining Jung-jae in the season are returning cast members Lee Byung-hun, Wi Ha-jun, and Gong Yoo. Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Gyu-young, Lee Jin-uk, Park Sung-hoon, Yang Dong-geun, Kang Ae-sim, Lee David, Choi Seung-hyun, Roh Jae-won, Jo Yu -ri and Won Ji-an make up the ensemble of new competitors.
The wait for the return of the Squid Game very big. The first season won six Emmy awards, including outstanding lead actor for Lee Jung-jae and outstanding directing for a drama series for Hwang Dong-hyuk. Season 2 already got a best television series Golden Globe nomination, so maybe we’re in for a good time.
Anyway, enough small talk. Read on to find out when to watch Squid Game season 2 on Netflix.
