France: Macron promises to fight drug trafficking




France’s president is visiting Marseille a month after the killing of the brother of a young drug fighter, as the government steps up efforts to tackle the city’s drug-related crime. On Tuesday, Emmanuel Macron announced tougher penalties for drug users and vowed to pursue leaders of drug networks, including those operating from abroad. Emerald Maxwell reports.
