Mississippi woman arrested for putting razor blades in Walmart bread

Woman accused of placing razor blades in multiple loaves of bread at two Walmart stores in mississippi He was arrested Tuesday, officials said. Fox 26 Houston.

The Biloxi Police Department identified the suspect as Camille Benson, 33, of Texas, who was charged with intentional injury, the local police department said. The outlet added that she is currently in jail with bail set at $100,000.

Over a period of more than a week, several customers reportedly found blades in bread purchased at two nearby locations, Walmart Supercenter and Walmart Neighborhood Market.

The first complaint came on Dec. 5, when a customer told employees they found a blade in the bread they purchased, according to the Associated Press. The outlet added that similar complaints surfaced at the Neighborhood Market on December 8.

Six days later, another customer filed a complaint with the supercenter on Dec. 14, prompting employees to inspect the merchandise and discover additional tampered loaves, the Associated Press reported, citing law enforcement officials.

FOX 26 Houston added that it received two similar complaints again on Dec. 15, according to police.

A motive has not yet been determined.

Walmart advises customers who believe they have purchased a tampered product to dispose of it immediately and visit one of their stores. Full refund from local store.

“The health and safety of our customers is always the top priority,” a Walmart spokesperson told Fox News Digital on Tuesday. “We have removed and thoroughly inspected all potentially affected products from the affected stores in Biloxi. We appreciate the swift action of law enforcement and will continue to work with them as they investigate.”
