In a rare moment of shared ideology and praise, Republican Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas and Democratic Sen. John Fetterman of Pennsylvania unanimously condemned anti-Semitism in an interview on Tuesday. “Hannity.”
“I just want to commend John Fetterman for the courage he’s shown … in calling out anti-Semitism within his own party. And he’s paid a considerable price for that,” Sen. Cruz told host Sean Hannity.
The senators’ bipartisan discussion came in the wake of the December 14 mass shooting at Bondi Beach that left 15 people dead.

“What we’re seeing at Bondi Beach is the latest manifestation of this evil that is spreading. This hatred of Israel. This hatred of the Jewish people,” Cruz said.
Fetterman added: “You know, they (Jews) can’t even celebrate one of their holidays without being shot and cut and attacked.”
Fetterman called it a “horrible massacre” that left 42 people hospitalized, including two police officers.
One of the dead was reportedly a Holocaust survivor.
The Democratic congressman stressed that anti-Semitism is an issue his party must “confront,” and Cruz agreed and harshly criticized Bundy’s deadly attack.
“This is grotesque, it’s evil, it’s dangerous, and we need to stand up and face it,” the Texas senator said.

As the conversation expanded beyond the Bundy attack, Cruz and Fetterman also expressed approval of President Donald Trump’s efforts to destroy Iran’s nuclear facilities.
“The most important foreign policy decision President Trump made in his second term was the decision to bomb Iran’s nuclear facilities,” Cruz said.
“When the Ayatollah screams death for America, I believe him,” the Republican senator added. “The president has an obligation as commander-in-chief to keep the American people safe, and allowing the ayatollah to acquire nuclear weapons to murder thousands, if not millions, of Americans is an unacceptable risk.”

Senator Fetterman called President Trump’s bombing an “absolutely” appropriate move.
“I believe I am the only Democrat who has actually called for and fully supported the bombing of Iran’s nuclear facilities,” Fetterman added.
The discussion turned to domestic issues, including rising incidents of anti-Semitism in the United States.

Fetterman criticized former President Joe Biden’s border policies as a “disaster” and called for greater scrutiny of immigrants.
“It also makes sense to bring in people who have values that align with ours,” Fetterman explains. “This is not about free speech. This is about attracting people who want to assimilate, who want to build their lives in our country and not become part of a destructive force in our country.”
