have a good chance philip rivers The Indianapolis Colts take on the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday in a must-win game in the AFC South.
Rivers, 44, joins colts Earlier this week, the team was dealing with a quarterback crisis. The potential Hall of Famer hasn’t played in a game since the 2020 season, but when the Colts needed him most, he answered the call and followed the playbook and was ready for the game.
But what do NFL fans think Rivers, 44, will bring to the Colts? Both he and his opponents on the court have changed a lot since the 2020 season. The Seahawks also have one of the best defenses in the league.

Rivers’ former teammate Sean Merriman told Fox News Digital that he expects Rivers to play well but is worried about one thing.
“It’s been a tough week for him, but I’ll tell you, Phil’s strength has never been his athleticism. It’s always been his competitiveness,” he said. “He’s the most competitive player I’ve ever played with, that’s No. 1. No. 2, his preparation, his mentality and his knowledge of the game of the football. Those two things always made Philippe that elite quarterback. That’s it. So, it’s not going to be that much different as far as his movement in the pocket.
“What I do worry about is you can’t replicate football without playing football. So, you can have a coach who, I’m sure he plays football with his high school kids. I’m sure he’s working out, but you can’t replicate football. So, I think he’s going to look good on the field. I think he’s going to look like he did five years ago on the field.”
When rumors surfaced that Rivers might come to Indianapolis for a workout, Merriman said he wasn’t surprised.

The former San Diego Chargers star said when he spoke with Rivers at Antonio Gates’ Hall of Fame induction ceremony, it felt like the quarterback wasn’t quite done with the game.
“I’m not shocked. And, here’s why – a few years ago, I said on Twitter that Phil was still ready to play and I thought it was 2023,” he said. “Everyone was like, ‘What? Well, yeah, right.’ I think he’d been out of the game for three years, and then a week or two later, all of a sudden San Francisco 49erstheir quarterback situation plus all the injuries, they are considering bringing in Philippe. I said, I told you.
“I talked to Phillip and he didn’t say, ‘Oh, I’m coming back to play,’ but when you talked to him, it sounded like he was ready. It sounded like he was talking about the game right now.”
