These days, if you want to ride Batman, Superman, or Ladybug, Usually you should go with a six flags theme. But that may change in the future, as Warner Bros. is reportedly exploring new themes with Park Park for its signature comic book franchise, DC Studios.

Bloomberg Reports that DC studios are currently in talks with several theme park operators, including Universal, to license its characters for new rides and attractions. The talks “are at an early stage and do not yet include contractual negotiations,” according to the report, but they are happening. Likewise, it won’t end with the six-flag deal. It would just put the DC characters in another set of theme parks.

The universal is the only specific other theme Park Operator mentioned in the piece and, clearly, the biggest. It has a license to major studios in its Orlando parks and has an agreement with Warner Bros. for this Harry Potter Franchise, as well as all the big houses: Jurassic Park, how to train your dragonMonsters, etc.

Whoever, if anyone, gets the rights, the main thing the agreement does is make more land a possibility. Now, of the six flagship parks with rides in DC, it’s sure to fit in and around the rides. But there is no whole section of Gotham city or metropolis or anything, as seen in Disney or universal in Star Wars or Harry Potter. This deal, especially if Universal ends up taking it, leaves that possibility open.

However, this news also broke almost simultaneously with the bigger news of Netflix acquiring Warner Bros. Discovery. Netflix Recently started to open Small, almost mini theme parks called “Netflix House,” So you have to think that the idea might have something to do with all the new properties that have been acquired. Or, the powers that be can close any talks that started before the agreement is in place. Why would Netflix want to help universal by allowing this batman to be Batman when Netflix has Batman?

Certainly, there are many factors at play here. But the main takeaway is that, at some point in the future, there’s a good chance that DC will join the surprise of getting bigger, better, theme park better. Where would you like to see the DC show up?
