Bournemouth 0-1 Everton – Grealish win for the Toffees

Jack Grealish’s late winner saw Everton end Bournemouth’s unbeaten home record in the Premier League.

The Toffees were in front for a long time but the hosts got the cutting edge when it mattered to make it five games without a win.

The Cherries have slipped to 14th in a crowded midtable after a brilliant start, while Everton are now ninth.

Antoine Semenyo had the best chance of the first half, but Jordan Pickford brought down a deep cross to be denied by a fine save.

Everton striker Thierno Barry went up against the woodwork as his wait for a goal continued before the visitors scored.

Grealish counter-attacked, was allowed to cut inside and Befode fired a deflected shot past Diakite.

Only Arsenal have taken more points on the road since David Moyes returned to the club, with Everton held on for three more.

It’s three wins from four for Everton, who host Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
