Meanwhile, Hailan told Sky Sports that Manchester City “needed” to win after a tough start to the season.
“You can feel this from the fans,” said Hyland. “We need (wins), and today you may feel a little extra, and I’m so relieved and happy that we managed to do it all together.”
Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes said his team should have done better, but said there was motivation in the game.
“The results were very bad for us, but I think there are two ways to avoid goals. On the ball, we are positive, brave and kick forward.”
