Hundreds of Syrian Christians protest against the burning of the Christmas tree




Videos posted on social media of a public Christmas tree being lit in a Christian-majority town near Hama in central Syria sparked protests in Damascus early on Tuesday. The Syrian victory group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham said the tree was burned by foreign fighters from another group and promised to restore the decoration.
