The list of people who are sanctioned include the Shor Party officials, a political party led by Ilan Shor. The Canadian government sanctioned the party in June 2023.

The list also includes former Moldova officials and the Gagauzia autonomic territorial units, “The Moldova region whose current administration has a strong connection with Russia.”

Canada also sets sanctions on members of the prophetic Moldovan media accused of “spreading misinformation”, as well as “other participants in Russian abuse abroad”.

Two entities where Canada set up sanctions on Thursday include a victory/victory, a political block run by Shor and the paramilitary group supported Shor, which Canada accused of “involved in organizing a series of Anti -Holder’s protests in Moldova 2023.”

Anand’s office said that Canada presents these measures “because political actors and organizations influenced by Mr. Shora intensify their efforts to interfere with the next Moldave Parliamentary elections, which will be held on September 28, 2025.”
