The UN Security Council to end the Peace Force in Lebanon after 2026




Caring to US and Israeli’s requirements, the UN Security Council unanimously voted the abolition of multinational peacekeeping forces in South Lebanon. The resolution gives force, known as the Unifr, one year starting on December 31, 2026 to withdraw 10,800 military and civilian staff and all UN equipment.
