Garage CCTV shows moments of Vanuatu earthquake


CCTV footage from a garage in Port Vila shows the moment a 7.3-magnitude earthquake hit Vanuatu’s capital.

The quake struck at 12:47 local time (01:47 GMT) on Tuesday, triggering landslides, crushing cars and leveling buildings.

Two people can be seen running away from falling debris in the garage, while footage also appears to capture a dog trying to escape the danger.

There have been unconfirmed reports of deaths and the full extent of damage in Vanuatu remains unclear.
