The West must continue to adjust sanctions against Russia and focus on their implementation, the analyst says




The US Treasury Department on Friday imposed sanctions on Gazprom Neft and Surgutneftegas, as well as 183 vessels carrying oil as part of Russia’s so-called “shadow tanker fleet”. FRANCE 24’s Yinka Oyetade talks to Benjamin Godwin, partner at PRISM Strategic Intelligence. He says that to maintain long-term pressure on Russia and the Russian energy industry, governments must continue to adjust sanctions and focus on enforcement.
