The IPL Council has reportedly held an emergency meeting to decide the fate of the ongoing IPL 2025, due to the ongoing tension between India and Pakistan.
The development is on the back of the match between the King of Punjab and the Delhi capital. Both teams played at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala on Thursday (May 8), and authorities canceled the game and asked fans to evacuate the stadium immediately.
The game was cancelled after 10.1 points from the Punjab Kings. Shortly after the 11th first delivery, a lighthouse at the stadium went out before the players were asked to leave the field. BCCI quickly issued a statement saying the game was abandoned due to a “major technical failure” at the HPCA Stadium.
