Tottenham Hotspur legend Robbie Keane has been appointed manager of Hungarian side Ferencvaros.
The 44-year-old, who scored 122 goals for Tottenham in all competitions during two separate spells at the club, has previous coaching experience under his belt after spending a year in charge of Israeli outfit Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Keane left the club in June after winning the league and cup double, having previously spent time working as assistant manager of Middlesbrough and the Republic of Ireland. Also worked with Sam Allardyce at Leeds United two seasons ago when he tried to help the Whites avoid relegation.

Spells followed Kane’s career at Coventry, Inter and Leeds before settling down Tottenham In 2002. He netted 13 times in his first season as the club’s top scorer, and scored a further goal the following year despite the Lilywhites’ Premier League struggles.
The increased competition for places did not faze Keane, who played a key role in Tottenham’s development into top four contenders alongside Dimitar Berbatov. His regular goal-seeking finally yielded a move Liverpool in 2008 but he rejoined Tottenham on loan initially in January before making a permanent return.
