In this edition of Entre Nous, we take a look at a tradition that nine out of ten French people take part in at some point in the month of January: eating “la galette des rois”, or royal cake. The pastry is often associated with the Epiphany, that is, the moment when the Three Wise Men, that is, the Three Kings, celebrated the birth of Jesus. We talk more about the French galette des rois with Maëva Manchon, award-winning pastry chef from Union Bakery in Paris and Eugénie Pont, journalist for Fou de Pâtisserie magazine and website.
