NFL Draft 2025: Quarterback Shedeur Sanders is still waiting for three rounds to be selected | NFL News

The Shedeur Sanders are still waiting to hear the name in the NFL draft – after choosing three rounds before Colorado quarterbacks, 102 picks and five quarterbacks.

The height-height star was not one of the 70 players on Friday’s second and third rounders in a stunning first round defeat Thursday night.

Sanders is arguably the most well-known player in the country to enter the draft – mainly because his father, Deion, is the Professional Football Hall of Fame.

“Thank God for everything,” Sanders posted on X on the third round.

The NFL franchise took 70 players from the college rankings and left the Sanders, who has been fired 94 times in the past two college seasons, still waiting for his phone to ring.

Four other quarterbacks jumped to Sanders. In the first round, the Giants took Mississippi State’s Jaxson Dart.

In the second round, the Saints selected Tyler Shoough of Louisville, who began his college career in Oregon in 2018 and will turn 26 on September 26.

In the third round, Jalen Milroe of Alabama and Dillon Gabriel of Oregon won two more quarterbacks in the third round.

6-foot-2, 217-pound quarterback Milroe started two seasons at Alabama, scoring 45 passes and touchdowns in his college career, and another 33.

“He’s an incredible athlete,” said General Manager John Schneider. “Very, very, very fast. I think it’s actually something like 21.2 (MPH) and his GPS speed.”

Shedeur Sanders reacted after being unselected in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft

At best, Sanders will be the sixth quarterback in the 2025 draft, and he is not even the first quarterbacks for Sanders.

The honor received South Carolina defensive tackle TJ Sanders, who ranked 41st overall.

The Denver Broncos finally landed on a quarterback team that was the Denver Broncos, whose coach Sean Payton was frustrated with Sanders sliding into the third day of this year’s draft.

“He has this chip on his shoulders, beware, because this guy will play in this league,” Payton said. “Yes, I think it’s amazing.”

When the Titans chose the 103rd overall draft pick was Tennessee’s other best prospects for 5-foot-8, Tennessee ran back to Dylan Sampson, who scored a school-recorded 22 touchdowns last season, while Arizona State ran Cam Skattebo, who rushed for 1,711 yards and 21 TDS last season.

Other top candidates in the fourth round include LSU guard Miles Frazier, Ohio State’s edge sprint Jack Sawyer and Colorado wide receiver Tory Horton.
