WWE is officially on the road to WrestleMania 42, and while the creative team has been firing on all cylinders in terms of main event storylines, some changes need to be made in order to create an all-around satisfying product.

Many ongoing title reigns have failed to attract fans, and companies should end them sooner rather than later. In this article, we’ll take a look at three WWE Championship reigns that have failed and must end soon.

#3. Dominic Mysterio

Dominic Mysterio With interference from the returning Liv Morgan, she regained the Intercontinental Championship from John Cena at Survivor Series: War Games. While Mysterio’s first reign was filled with exciting moments, his second reign fell short of expectations.

The King of Luchadores has yet to defend his title since winning it in late November, as he was sidelined for more than a month with a shoulder injury. Mysterio has returned to television but has yet to compete. The 28-year-old is an exciting talent, but his second Intercontinental Championship bid has so far been unsuccessful.

While unfortunate circumstances are to blame, WWE should soon end Mysterio’s current reign.

#2.Julia

julia This is her second defense of the United States Women’s Championship after regaining the title from Chelsea Green on the inaugural SmackDown in 2026. Her first title defense was underwhelming because despite being the champion, she rarely appeared on television.

Fans hoped that Beautiful Crazy’s second reign would live up to the hype, but it didn’t. Although the Japanese star has been on TV recently, she was involved in filming a WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match with Kiana James, taking the spotlight away from the United States Women’s Champion.

#1. WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill

Jed Cargill On November 1, she won the WWE Women’s Championship from Tiffany Stratton on Saturday Night’s Main Event XLI. After more than 100 days of hard work, Storm finally defended the championship for the first time on this week’s SmackDown. She will challenge for her title on Friday against Jordynne Grace.

That dominance was supposed to make Cargill a major talent at the company. However, the creative team failed to showcase her properly as she only participated in a handful of games and had no clear direction. The company should take that title away from The Storm and maybe crown her again later with a more compelling storyline.
