Former WWE Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes vows to make history by winning third title royal rumble and earned a ticket to WrestleMania 42, regaining the title he lost earlier this year.
The 40-year-old star had a stellar performance in the men’s Royal Rumble match and looks like he’ll prove his case until Drew McIntyre Ruining the night again, kicking Claymore into American Nightmare who was hanging on the ropes caused him to lose his balance and he slipped and fell.
Thanks for your submission!
In this article, we’ll look at three reasons why Cody failed to win a men’s ring match:
#3. He might win in a steel cage elimination match
The American Nightmare will indeed be involved in an undisputed WWE Championship match against Drew McIntyre and Jacob Fatu.
To add more excitement to the triple threat match, Stamford’s promotion allowed the Scottish Warriors to cost Rhodes a chance to win the Rumble; now, in a bid to win the title, Cody may declare himself in the men’s Elimination Chamber match and possibly earn a title shot by winning the match.
#2. WWE fans are starting to warm up to the idea
On the go-home edition of Friday Night SmackDown, fans immediately turned their cheers into boos when Cody Rhodes talked about winning the Rumble again.
Still, it’s clear that fans are firmly against the idea of Cody winning the Royal Rumble. Therefore, WWE isn’t taking any chances as The Hustler is one of the biggest babyfaces on the brand.
#1. Avoid duplication
Cody Rhodes has already won the traditional men’s title in 2023 and 2024, and his win this year feels like a repeat.
So, to avoid a repeat of the past, Triple H and his creative team didn’t book The American Nightmare to win the Royal Rumble this year.
