One of the pair should certainly be recalled for the big game against Hearts at the weekend, with Gassama doing next to nothing in this title race as he has managed just five goals and assists in the Premier League all season, with just two of those coming in 2026.

Monaco reportedly made a loan offer for the young winger last month with a £10m obligation to buy, but there has been a lingering feeling that Rangers should cash in, as was the case with Fenerbahce’s reported £13m bid for Cermiti.

Neither summer signing has shown any degree of consistency this season, and with Rohr now having other attacking options at least beyond January, it’s hoped Wednesday’s standoff will see the duo back on the sidelines.
